In fact, the best city for startups is Shreveport in Louisiana, according to a study by WalletHub... It was followed by Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Springfield, Missouri.

The report ranked 150 cities on 13 key metrics split into two categories: access to resources and business environment. The metrics range from the affordability of office space to the educational attainment of the local labor workforce.

The 10 worst cities to start a business were all located in California or in the New York City area.
