The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has released a frenzied recruiting video designed to inspire more of the country’s youth to join the ranks.
The rousing PLA video features rap music and enough fast cuts of soldiers and advanced weaponry –fighter jets, navy ships, tanks and missiles – to make big-budget Hollywood director Michael Bay blush.
The footage, reportedly the PLA’s first attempt at a hip-hop video, was posted on the Chinese service’s website last week:
