East Stroudsburg University - Hemlock Suites
This $74 million housing complex is brand new—it opened in January. Where the campus’s older dorms have shared bathrooms for up to 50 students, the new suites each have their own bathrooms and up to four separate bedrooms, according to the Pocono Record. They’re also all climate controlled (with the energy coming from a new geothermal heating and cooling system), come with brand-new movable furniture, and have a kitchenette. Computer labs and lounge spaces are available throughout the complex, and there are two full kitchens. All rooms are wired for cable and have internet access. “One of the most important things new students look at is new housing. They're looking for the comforts of home,” Robert Moses, the school’s housing director, told the Record about the new complex.
