An Almost Religious Sitting Experience
Anyone of any age (or political persuasion, for that matter) can sit up straight and still be comfortable in the sleek, simple, and sophisticated Parsons Chair, long admired by both designers and homeowners for its design, comfort, and adaptability to almost any room setting or fabric choice. The chair was named for the site of its birth, the Parsons School of Design, and created in the 1930s. Often made of hardwood and originally upholstered in leather, the chair marries elements of Modernism with the Mission, Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
