Just Deserts
Originally the show was going to be set in Riverside, California, but due to the generous tax incentives offered by New Mexico, the location was moved to Albuquerque. Cinematographers have taken advantage of the Southwestern scenery to give the show its distinct Nuevo-Western look. Tourism in Albuquerque has boomed. It now ranks higher than Sante Fe as the most desirable destination in the state.
