City Organizes Adult Daycare for Furloughed Workers
The 6xth & I Synagogue in DC partnered with the local community center to open a temporary “Shutdown Central” or daycare for furloughed workers. Hundreds of “nonessential” government employees have spent the last week hanging out at the center, watching West Wing and playing partisan ping pong.
