This is The House on the Rock, in Spring Green, Wisconsin. According to legend, it was designed when its architecht, Alex Jordan Jr., got into a verbal dispute with Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright apparently called Jordan incompetent - and this building was Jordan's furious effort to prove Wright wrong. It looks like he did his job well, at least, as the building is still operating today and is being expanded further.
